What you can earn

Each active referral adds to your monthly total. Tier-ups apply retroactively — hitting a new threshold immediately raises the rate on every referral you already have, not just future ones.

↑ marks a tier upgrade. The moment you hit 5 or 15 active referrals, the higher rate applies to all of them — instantly, in the same billing cycle. Earnings shown assume each referred subscriber pays monthly; annual subscribers contribute their per-month equivalent.
The fine print

No surprises.

What counts as an active referral

  • Someone you referred who has a current, paid (non-trial) StrongSkills subscription.
  • Canceled, paused, or trial-only accounts do not count toward your tier threshold.
  • You can't refer yourself.

Tier stickiness and retroactivity

  • Tiers are sticky. If your active referral count dips below a threshold, you keep the higher tier for 90 days before it adjusts.
  • Tier-up is always retroactive. The moment you cross a threshold, the higher rate applies to all your existing active referrals immediately — your earnings jump in the same billing cycle.

How payouts work

  • Referral and Partner tiers: earnings are credited to your account balance each billing cycle and applied automatically to your next renewal. Your subscription gets progressively cheaper the more you share.
  • Influencer tier: choose account credit or cash. Your balance accrues until you're ready — hit "Request Payout" in your dashboard. Tell us once how you'd like to be paid (PayPal, Venmo, or bank transfer) and we process it within 3 business days.
  • US tax: cash recipients who earn $600 or more in a calendar year will receive a 1099-NEC. We'll request your tax ID before cumulative cash payouts reach that threshold.
